Trump Family to Host Official Grand Opening Event in October

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 18, 2016) – The interior design of the Presidential Suite at Trump International Hotel, Washington, D.C. is unveiled today, in advance of the hotel’s grand opening that will take place in late October. One of thirty-five suites at the 263-room ultra-luxury hotel, the 4,000 square foot, three-bedroom suite is located in what was formerly the Postmaster General’s office, and features 16-foot ceilings and soaring windows. Impressive craftsmanship and restored details along with modern luxuries make it a unique and historic space, which guests can begin enjoying during the hotel’s soft opening in September. 

Using the original space planning as a guide, the Presidential Suite will include a grand living room, a dining room with a butler’s pantry and kitchen, and master bedroom suite. Historic stained wood trim, including wainscot, doors, and carved window casings will be restored to a high gloss finish, and the deep plaster crown moldings, original to the building are preserved in each room. A restored historic fireplace in the main living area will be a focal point and hand-tufted area rugs will be laid over herringbone hardwood floors in the main areas of the suite. The master bedroom will feature custom Stark carpet designed especially for the project, while the master bath will be comprised of hand-selected Calacatta Gold marble from an Italian quarry, and include a fitness center and walk-in closets, with luxurious fixtures and hardware.

In addition to the Presidential Suite, another world-class accommodation at the hotel is the 6,300 square foot Trump Townhouse, which is the largest suite in Washington, D.C. This bi-level suite features a private entrance on Pennsylvania Avenue, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private office, workout room, dining room that seats up to 24 people and more. Public spaces at the luxury hotel include the Benjamin Bar & Lounge, BLT Prime by David Burke, The Spa by IVANKA TRUMP™ and a Brioni boutique. The hotel’s Presidential Ballroom at 13,200 square feet is the largest among luxury hotels in the city.
